Thursday March 14

4:30 PM  –  5:30 PM

Starting with a tour of the Museum’s exhibition Data Nation: Democracy in the Age of A.I., educators will explore the impact of technology on our democratic norms and consider how rapid advances in technology affect student learning. With the understanding that communication and technological influence are at an all-time high, this session will provide educators with the knowledge, tools, and resources to help students strengthen their media literacy and use technology effectively and responsibly.

This professional development workshop is available to teachers, school faculty, and educators of all kinds. Following the workshop, attendees are invited to stay for a panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence, Elections, and the Future of Democracy hosted at the National Liberty Museum in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. Tickets for the panel discussion are $5 for teachers and school faculty, with valid ID. For more information and to register to attend, visit the event page on our website. Separate registration is required.

Presented as part of Civic Learning Week, hosted by iCivics.
